Heel pad height matters
We measure paws differently than dog boot companies. Start measurement from against the leg behind the heel pad's furthest back point, which is off-center.
Bend ankles
Try Clawgs lengths while paws are in their standing position with fully bent ankles.
Measure front and back paws
Many dogs' back paws are smaller than their front paws. It's normal for one dog to wear two different sizes.
Try on Clawg lengths
Rather than measuring paws, set measuring tools to Clawg lengths and try them on paws. The Clawg length should completely cover front pads while ankles are bent and toes are spread but not contact front claw tips.
Size up
If you can't decide between two sizes, select the larger size. Be confident that pads are not contacting the ground.
